"Why Oak Framed Gazebos Are the Perfect Addition to Your Garden"

We have designed and built some stunning Oak frame gazebos over the last few years for our customers and now they enjoy their gardens in all weathers and at all times of the day.

The beauty of an Oak frame gazebo designed by Cheshire Oak Structures is that it is designed specifically for your garden, your property and your requirements. The gazebo below is 4m wide x 4.2m deep x 3.8m to the ridge created to fit exactly into the overall garden design. The Oak framed gazebo has a hipped roof fitted with tiles, safety glass panels secured with 'D' Clamps provide shelter and is finished with pine tongue & groove boarding fitted on top of the rafters.

Depending on the view and aspect, we design the Oak frame out door living space individually for each home to maximise the benefit and enjoyment our customers get from their new Oak structure. We used bespoke dimensions of 4.25m wide x 3.4m deep x 3.3m to ridge for the Oak gazebo below, as it needed to fit into the space available on the raised area. The lower roof pitch of 3.3m was achieved by using cedar shingles as the roof covering and finally adding cedar tongue and groove boarding to finish the ceiling area.

We design our Oak gazebos by enclosing the sides in a variety of ways. We mainly use Larch weatherboard to create shelter and also different combinations and sizes of safety glass secured with stainless steel 'D' Clamps to allow maximum light into the Oak design and to allow customers to enjoy the views of their garden. The weatherboard and glass panels are positioned differently for each design to give the shelter that is required from the sun, breeze or to ensure privacy. The safety glass panels have become very popular over the last few years as they give a more contemporary feel but mostly because they mean our customers can enjoy the view of their garden while having shelter when the British weather turns! We also design with Oak weatherboard, waney edge weatherboard, cedar screens and other materials depending on our customer's preferences.

Oak frame outdoor living designs are very flexible creating a place to sit quietly with a book, somewhere to enjoy catching up with family and friends, a place to host a party or one customer wanted a shelter for when he is in the garden with his dog. Some customers use their Oak gazebo for cooking and eating.

The Gazebo, below, was 4m wide x 3m deep x 3.6m to the ridge and the number of Oak posts and their position allowed other feature smaller side walls and veranda area to be included in the Oak design. Other customers have included features such as a balustrade or ornamental Oak railings.

Our Oak framed gazebos are one of the most versatile structures we design.  One of the smallest Oak gazebos we have designed was 2m x 2m while the largest would be over 8m x 6m with the most popular size being around 4m x 4m. All our designs have structural calculations which govern the span between the posts and each part of the build. The size of the Oak gazebo therefore determines the number of Oak posts that are used. If the hipped roof of a gazebo isn't your style we also design a range of Oak pavilions and Oak cook houses with gable end roofs and can include feature Oak trusses.

Here is another gazebo designed especially to fit the space available in the garden with this Oak frame being 4.1m wide x 3.6m deep x 3.5m to the ridge. With the addition of lighting and heat the customers can enjoy their Oak gazebo in the evenings with family and friends all year round.
